89 MR2 S/C Motor Repair
Hi. I will be buying an 89 MR2 S/C this march, but I have my doubts about the one I like the most. The owner told me that one of the pistons blew while he was street racing with the car. He also told me that the rapair cost was around $1,300, and the car doesn't seem to be in bad conditions. My question is:
If the repairs were well done, am I running a great risk of future motor problems if I buy this car?
I am going to use the car for everyday transportation, and some people tell me that cars that have had this kind of problems only last around 3 years. The owner is selling the car in $4,000. Is it too much money for the car or is it a bad buy?
