98 Bravada Overheated, trouble starting

My 98 Bravada would overheat when running the a/c, if I stopped & shut it off it would start until cooled. Problem got worse that happened without running a/c. Noticed no pressure in radiator hose when hot, so replaced radiator cap and thermostat. Seemed to fix it, but now if I turn off car after driving for awhile, even tho it doesn't show hot, wont turn on until cooled. When my dad was helping me check things, he heard a buzzing/ sizzling noise from around carburetor area. Almost an electrical sound but also like air thru water. Like when as a kid using water to look for a hole in your bike tube? Also strangely, oil pressure guage goes to 0 when trying to start. but goes back to normal once started.

Does it fail to turn over/crank or just no start?

Sounds like a intake manifold issue. The gaskets on that engine are notoriously bad for leaking, both inside and outside the manifold.
