Motor gets no power - Sensors?

The 1999 Chevy Venture I have doesn't get enough power from the motor and lacks the force to accelerate, was told it could be with the sensors? Which sensors and where could they be located? Thanks and much appreciated.

Could be the sensors? That's about as generic an answer that you could get....

Does this happen all the time, or more when hot or cold?

Does the car misfire? Is the CE light on? Does it flash when you accelerate? Check for codes?

If from a dead stop, you really lay into the accelerator, does the car go and shift gears, or does it rev at around 3000 RPMS without shifting and bogs down?

On the other hand, if you LIGHTLY ACCELERATE from a dead stop, does it slowly get up to speed and shift?

If it bogs down under heavy acceleration, but slowly gets up to speed on light acceleration, I would check back pressure in the exhaust....could be a partially/plugged catalytic converter....

I see this is your first post here.

Answer the questions that Tech II has asked you and maybe we can narrow this problem area a bit.
