front wheel bearing question

Can you replace just the wheel bearing or do you need to buy the whole assembly? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=972548_0_0_

You have to get the hub/bearing as a unit, that's how it's serviced.

Re: front wheel bearing question

Yup, mine was the complete hub. It also had a pick-up for the ABS tone wheel but the wire was crappy and broke about a year later. Pack rat that I am, I found the old hub, took the stock pick-up from it and installed it on the new hub....still there too.

Re: front wheel bearing question

ended up that the bearing was just loose but for $30 bucks we replaced it anyways, it only has about 290k on it. Also found a bad lower ball joint and a missing lug nut, won't be doing business with that tire shop again.
