Ferrari 275 NART Spyder

It seems many of us had the same idea lately, to build a Ferrari 275 of some kind. Here's my contribution to the topic, ITALERIE's 275 NART Spyder, which was finished about 3 weeks ago.
Paint is Zero's Grigio Silverstone, topped with TS13, sanded and polished. Interior is a custom mix of dark red and black. I used Borrani wire wheels from Acustion, Fujimi tires, some P/E parts from the scrap box, added seat belts, flocking, metal transfer emblems, wired the engine and added some small bits and pieces.
I know I forgot to add a chrome ring around the head lights, maybe I will still add them later.
Kit was reasonable to build, I encountered no major problems. This was a nice little in-between-project.

All comments and critics welcome.

Enjoy!

Re: Ferrari 275 NART Spyder

Looks great! If it were mine, I'd blacken the inside of the exhaust tips

Re: Ferrari 275 NART Spyder

Looks great, very clean build! bravo!

I have that kit on the bench, being reworked somewhat - making some corrections & later re-cast - so I'm very familiar with it not being an especially easy kit to put together well in box-stock form

Nicely done!!

Very nice looking build, especially like the color treatment for the interior.

Very neat build! How accurate is this kit? Was there anything that needed to be fixed to make it look like the real deal?

Re: Ferrari 275 NART Spyder

I'll say that the Renaissance resin version captures the shape better than Revell's/Italeri's, especially when it comes to the front fenders. Missing from this version is the elegant, subtle crease that runs along the apex of the front fenders.

Thanks for your comments everyone!

I thought about this, but decided not to blacken them as on some reference pics the insides still appeared metallic. But I guess you're right, the exhausts would appear less toy-like with black insides. Maybe I will still do this.

Apart from adding a number of smaller details and assembling the front and rear body parts before painting to get rid of panellines where there should be none, I didn't fix anything about the main body, the engine or the cockpit. Also I didn't have to in order to assemble it. However I didn't really check if the body form and proportions are really 100 % correct, it looked fine enough to me. The hinge of the front hood takes some attention so it will sit straight when closed.
If you check the comment of BVC500 there must be more accurate kits on the market though.

Re: Ferrari 275 NART Spyder

There is nothing like a classic Ferrari. Awesome build. This is not an easy kit to put together this clean.
