Re: Jeep keeps stalling , need help

you stated in earlier post.... took it to a jeep dealership, which charged me $130 for a diagnostics and inspection to find the issue. They called me and told me that my car battery and battery harness is causing the problem and that i should replace them both.
now you state....battery was bad ( not according to jeep .
you also stated....They called me and told me that my car battery and battery harness is causing the problem and that i should replace them both.
The only thing left is the harness.

Re: Jeep keeps stalling , need help

Hey Jake, I had the exact same problem in my 96 grand cherokee laredo a few months ago.

It didn't always throw a code, and all my battery-related stuff was good to go.

You want to check out the distributor (not just the distributor cap) and you ESPECIALLY want to investigate your crankshaft+camshaft position sensor. Solved the issue for me immediately.

Hey not sure if you got it fixed but my JGC Limited was doing the exact same thing. We thought it was a fuel problem even though we were not getting an error code. Turns out the PCM/ECM was gone. Replaced that and it worked like a champ.
