[911 TRIBUTE] Porsche 911 Speedster 1989 - Tamiya

Hello people,

Here is my contribution to celebrate 50 years of the great 911, the 1989 Speedster in Street dress.

This is the Snap-Loc kit, which I don´t care whatever anyone says, it´s a very fun kit to build, although it took me almost 3 years to complete since right after I finished painting the body I managed to loose the windshield for the street version.

Well, I tried hopelessly to find another kit to buy even tried here on AF which never failed me, but this time, it did...oh well, kit goes to the box and is forgotten.

A few weeks ago I was just browsing a brazilian forum´s classiefied area where BANG! the day before it was on offer...then of course there were already several buyers aligned. To cut a long story, I sent a PM to the guy who was incredibly generous and sold me the part at a very low price, also he took more care than Tamiya themselves to send it to me.

Anyway, pictures...as usual I digress....

Tamiya kit OoB
Primer Tamiya Spray then couple coats metallic black and a few more of metallic red from the spray can
Clear is PPG two-part clear and hours and hours and hours of wet sanding and compound polishing
Other paints are Alclads chrome, polished alu and stainless steel

As usual mistakes here and there but less than the last kit...so we could say I am improving...slowly as molasses...
