And worse yet, I just realized I've been using my own data plan rather than use the WiFi in the store....

Also, anybody have tips on cleaning the residue from the bowl of a "water pipe"?? I got a pretty distinct line where you can tell the water stops and gunk begins

Re: SERIOUSLY OT: Keep whoring alive, it's THREAD #5!!!
Do you mean the actual water pipe, where it gets dirty above the water line? If so, fill with water up to the line and then throw in a Denture cleaning tablet. Preferably an over night one (rather than a 3-5 minute one) and leaving it overnight.
If it's another part (stem, slider, diffuser, etc)... nothing I can really think of, other than just cleaning it on a regular basis Throw the parts in a ziplock bag full of rubbing alcohol overnight.

Re: SERIOUSLY OT: Keep whoring alive, it's THREAD #5!!!
Bought a 12 pack of Magic Hat : Summer Scene Variety Pak last night (really about 1:30am). Too late to try any of them last night, so I'm going to try them tonight.
I've already had the #9, so if the rest are shit, at least I can drink half a pack by trying the other 3 & drinking the three #9's. Already chugged the HiCü. I give it a "meh". If it was in it's own 6 or 12 pack, I'd pass. It does have a nice subtle sweet taste to it from the Hibiscus (I'm assuming), and you can definitely taste a hint of the Cucumber. I was really put off after seeing it had Cucumber, but it's really not bad at all. The beer however is VERY watered down. It's almost like sparkling water or seltzer water, with a hint of taste to it. Not my sort of thing. Edit: I have to clarify that the cucumber & Hibiscus taste is actually sort of a sweet melon taste. Next I tried the Elder Betty. It has a very berry flavor to it. Honestly, I took a real chance on this one, because I'm not a fan of berry alcohols (frankly they have all disgusted me). But this actually wasn't too over powering. Definitely a dominant sweet berry flavor, but but the hops & malt help it out. I'll probably never buy again though, because I can see getting sick of the flavor. Which is too bad because the local store I buy most of my beer had a 12 pack on sale for $8.99 of this, verse the $14.99 I paid for this variety pack. Last, I'm currently drinking the Blind Faith. You can definitely taste the Cascade hops, with the grapefruit dominant hoppy flavor. But not as quite a "heavy" hop flavor as some of the other beers I compare to the flavor of Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. Apparently it's only going to be available for another month or so, and then they are going to produce a different IPA, for their "IPA on Tour" series. I'd definitely buy again. It's beers like these that make me want to start brewing my own shit. Last edited by CivicSpoon; 06-23-2013 at 12:09 AM. |
