air bag and B tool not working

94 325ic battery went bad replaced air bag lamp now on.
I received the B800 reset tool and it is not working this is what I see.
Per instructions power-up connect it scans then shows Fa.
When enter is pressed E 10 shows
When Scroll is pressed shows E 11
Lamp is still on I am connecting to the port that is located near the fire wall on the passenger side with the removable top, what am I doing wrong?

I have a abs lamp on would this hang up the reader?
