Re: Porsche 911 GT3 '98 Profil24

Next update: now it is more complete. It takes many actions given in the body especially. We start with the lights. Here I show the crystals and finished headlights, just a black border is missing in the rear ones. I also cut the bottom of the rear ones made of paper tobacco packets.
It w

ill be attached to the bottom:

Other body parts:

And finally, the body lacquered with Number5. It has a fine hand, and three subsequent normal layers with 10-15 minutes between them. The result: I have to varnish more fequently. I had littles dusts and orange peel, and caramel-like in general (too fat for my taste):

And as always, some pictures from other angles:

In the following picture, the spoiler is over the body, also lacquered:

Then, as I was not convinced with it, I started to polish it, also with the set of Number5. First the 2000 water sandpaper, who took out all the shine
.

After that, a 3000 soft sandpaper with 3000, clean and polish it. Squeeze some dough with the stick and gave him the job in the minidrill useful. And the shine started to show. A little bit of it, and more minidrill. At the end, I gave it about four times to the entire body, eliminating dusts, orange peel, and the caramel aparience. For my taste, perfect!

We can see in the following pictures, a reflection studies, including the famous bulb:

Design pictures:

Once ready, masked to paint the frames, and this time use the Semi Gloss Black Zero, ready to shoot with aero: perfect:

Here it is already painted with the front spoiler and drifts, that they were applied a coat of very diluted Smoke mixed with some of the sifter matt (which is used for paneling):

And the body with black painted without masks:

Just to say, I've already started putting the body accessories and the next update will be in completed models.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

Note: sorry for my previous pictures but I'm suffering a problem with my pictures storage and it will be solve soon.

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 '98 Profil24

Last post on work in progress of this project. Here I show the three main parts of it: body, chassis and dashboard. It was difficult to ride because if I put the dash in the chassis, the steering wheel was on the roll bar. IF I put it in the body, the dashboard was in the front wheel arches ... So what I did was mount the chassis in the body (I had to put the back of the chassis inside the body between the rear wheel arches) leaving a hole through which I got the dashboard, and when he had placed on its place ... Cyanoacrylate and Volia! Then I put the set screw. It is the last photo of these separated parts ...

Once done, i had to add the wheels and body accessories: front grilles, headlights of ScaleProduction (very good!), Sensors in the basin of the headlights, fuel inlet ...

And in the background rear lights, I added tobacco paper:

Yesterday, March 3, 2013, I finished this project, after 12 months!
Thanks for looking, commented and criticizing!

Next pictures in "Completed Projects"!

Oh, and if you live in Spain (Madrid) see you in Leganes 2013 contest next weekend!!

At the end, you finished it in time .
For sure it will gain a lot with natural light, so I will critize you during the contest.
See you there, and congratulations for this fantastic model.
