recalls

hey guys, have an 01 s-10. i know there was a recall on the tailgate cables. any ideas how to find out online about status, or how long you can still get them.?

For recalls best to check with your GM dealer.

Try going to www.recalls.gov or www.recalls.gov/nhtsa.html

I think is was actually a "Special Policy Adjustment" and not an actual recall. The covereage is for 12yrs from the "in service" date of the vehicle regardless of miles.

Policy #06020A...part numberfor the kit is 15939980. If your vehicle still falls under the policy and the repairs are needed, it will be done at no charge at any GM dealer.
