If you do not have a vacuum gauge stop at harbor frieght, without looking it up I am quessing the gauge is under $20.00. Here is a video on testing for a blocked exhaust using a vacuum gauge or remove the upstream 02 sensor and see if that makes a difference.

Look for a plug normally in front of the cat. You can remove it and test drive and see if the symptoms ease up.
