'Check Engine' light- try this!
I had a persistant code showing a minor vacuum leak that I was able to fix simply by removing the gas cap and turning around the black rubber gasket.
The side of the gasket facing the fill had tiny cracks, and the reverse side didn't. Volvo dealers don't sell that gasket, just the entire gas cap $$$$.
