Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

I've never seen one, still live in hope and have plenty more life left in me to see one. I'm only 22 after all.

Hopefully I'll make it down to Goodwood for the FOS or something soon, there's usually an F1 to be found there. Just a shame it's right at the bottom of the country and I'm in the north west. I should probably make the effort though.

Regardless, the effort of people on here to document the cars and to get pictures of them means I don't dwell on the fact I haven't seen one. Constantly amazed at the findings on here and it more than keeps me entertained.

Leno's F1 getting some StoneGaurd installed in place of the typical rubberized coating along the bottom of the doors.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Someone brought their F1 to Austin. This was spotted at the Four Seasons hotel.

Jenson Button spotted it too and Tweeted "Someone's got good taste!"

Best guesses: #066, #013, #062, #068, #???

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Here's another:

I am leaning towards #068 now as it appears no one has changed the clear bra on the nose of the car since I saw it 7 years ago.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Montana plate on the car rules out a few possibilities, but understand that a lot of people use paper-only corporations in Montana for vehicle registrations no matter where they live so it has little meaning:

One thing about that particular plate is that it was issued after Jan 2010 which leaves #068 a distinct possibility.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

The Oregon car is #067. It's actually owned by a gentleman from Minnesota, but he must have a home there in Oregon as not only is the car registered there, but he also showed it the year after he purchased it at the Sun River Festival of Cars in Bend and again this year.

Some small pics of it can be seen here at the 2008 show and on the road. New pics from 2012 are here.

I used to think the car was kept in storage in California, but I have since learned it's kept at a place there in Bend.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Another cool pic of #014 - despite my initial thoughts on the colour scheme dating quite quickly, it's still looking quite cool...

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Someone drove their F1 today...

Not too far from my house in that shot - I even thought about a run in the canyons today. Oh well...

McLaren F1s... they tend to draw a crowd. Another shot from Jay's drive at the beginning of December.

Our first (grainy) photo of #073 in I-can't-remember-how-long...?

Missing some vital bits, but based on where the photo was taken it appears to be in proper hands.
