[911 Tribute] RAUH Welt - Begriff RWB Porsche 993 cabrio
Hi there,
I want to try to make my own one. C1 Models still dont do it, so I wanted to make the cabrio RWB starting from revell/Italeri 993 cabrio. Kit is not so bad, and will proceed cutting the body as the real ones are done. Hope it works ![]() the real one: ![]() the only no-rear wing rwb done: ![]() ![]() ![]() and the model: being done this way, I will proceed as the artis does: ![]() ![]() so the basic body parts will be done with 1mm plasticard thermoformed and refined with milliput for the correct curves/lines of the wheels: this will be definitely a long time WIP

Re: [911 Tribute] RAUH Welt - Begriff RWB Porsche 993 cabrio
the main problem is still about the rims. Those should be 18 inch with an huge 17 channel. must see what have around as suitable rims for her. Nearly all use the latest 5 spocket wheels, even if I like much more the bbs based ones:

Woah this is gonna be great! The wheels are a hard problem to solve on these cars... they are huge!

Re: [911 Tribute] RAUH Welt - Begriff RWB Porsche 993 cabrio
You can use Aoshima Work Meister S1 - VIP with Deep dish. This way, you are able to adjust the lip as you want.
I am using ModelcarScientists rims - but they are resin (bad resin) copy of Aoshima ones + use copy of Aoshima Kai tires. They are not worth it for such price (tires tear apart). However, if you use Aoshima rims + trim sidewalls of their tyres, you can get that look! ![]() Also Hobby Design are going to release Work Meister S1 rims, so you can use 17" or 18" rims and modify the lip |

Re: [911 Tribute] RAUH Welt - Begriff RWB Porsche 993 cabrio
thank u all guys
![]() @Madish , u should enter the 911 tribute with such beauty in prgress. I like more 964 based rwb than already wornderful 993's ![]() the center of the rim is my main problem now. I found a good alu tube that can be reworked as channel, and some old fujimi ultra wide tyres. 1 inch is 2.54 cmts, so the 18" rims becomes 1.90 cmts in 1/24 scale. my tube is 2 cm exactly as diameter (lol, u always wonder how to reuses spare catamaran boats parts. This was the extra tail of my telescopic rudder stick, LOL... )The tires are incredibly wide.Think the only real use for theme is this RWB subject. so now have only to fix the inner deeper part.Inside the hole is 17mm wide, so need rounds in such size. where can I find that cloned ones u also used?mines will be real deep and painted in black, so not so necessary they are wonderful ones.. ![]() ![]() the car now is with some ugly milliput over the wheel arches waiting to be dry and then...the brutal sanding will start.Underbody plastic bones are real necessary for such works.. LoL, real looking terrible, but after the brutal sanding it will be nicer . it takes up to 36 hours to become dry..
