Re: Porsche 911 GT3

Back on the Porsche 911.

First I searched for new brakes as the original are too small and I can't use them with the lowering I planned.

I'll use the ScaleProdction brakes. Love them! I painted the resin calipers red and added APracing decals on them and clearcoated.

The wheels were stripped to remove the chrome. I primered them and painted them Alclad Gloss Black. Added the decals and this is how they look:

And mounted the brakes behind them.

I added the frontlight glasses. They need a amber area, but I don't like that. I kept them clear.

On the backside I painted the lower part red and upper part clear.

And a dryfit with the wheels.

Now I need to get further with the black interior and chassis.

Kris.

Re: Porsche 911 GT3

Not a big fan of the black wheels on this car but the work is very well done. I think the wheels were really nice before the black treatment and a better fit with the dark body color. Still curious to see the final result though.

The headlights without the amber area look better.

I really liked this color combo with the wheels but I guess it is more classical...

Re: Porsche 911 GT3

Yesterday I finished the interior. I kept it stock and simple. Just black and some aluminium details. The carpet is from the kit itself.

Now going further with the chassis. I need to finish it this year

Looking good!
The dash looks nice and clean.
You painted the buttons so well! They dont look sloppy or like they were done by hand.
Awesome!

Re: Porsche 911 GT3

The chassis is also finished. I cutted away the mudguards to make room for the big wheels. I also trimmed the suspension and the inner side of the wheels. I gave the rear wheels some negative camber.

Then I could paint everything and added some wheatering.

The body is also finished. I added the plates, wipers and mirrors.

Meanwhile it's finished, i'll post the pics soon .
