97 PA heater

Hello everyone, been reading this forum trying to find some info on my 97 PA heater problems. Dual climate control that heats on passenger side and cold on drivers side. I think I have it down to the drivers side actuator needs to be replaced. Would someone tell me where this is located? Does the dash panels have to be removed? Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Re: 97 PA heater

Not really sure on a '97, but I think both actuators are on the passenger side......may have to drop the hush panel under the dash on the passenger side....also, remove contents of glove box, and I think there are two rubber tabs near the top, that when you move them out of the way, they allow the glove box to drop down out of the way.....now you will easily see the HVAC box......

Take the system out of dual mode and command full hot and full cold(engine has to be running, put system in vent and blower on )......two actuators should move.....probably only see one.....there is usually one on top, and one on the bottom.....If it's the one at the top(you will see a long metal silver arm attached to it), removing that actuator is a pain in the ass....if it's the lower one, that is part of a module and is expensive......
