I can tell there are still quite a lot here, maybe because the composite body keeps their look against our salty roads winter climate...(which does not spare the underside though) but forum treads are indeed getting rare...
I had mine equipped with 225-60-16 tires and wheels from my son's ex-Z34 this summer and road handling in curves is definitely a lot firmer and more stable. But as winter comes back, I'll revert to 215-65-15 winter set.

No, I still have the old rack, and will compare it with the rack installed, as soon as I got the time, and access to my father's garage. I did bought the rack overseas as it was too expensive at the local shop.

And Yes, It was my intension to verify that the new rack was identical to the old before I installed the new one, but once i got the old one out I forgot to compare the racks before I installed the new one.

And YES!, I hate to think that I have to do the job twice.

I have now confirmed that the rack was rebuild with the shaft 180 degree off. And there is not possible in any way to fix this without take the rack out. Believe me, I have tried!

Sorry to say, but the van has never been this close to the scap yard! Annual inspection on Friday, I will decide after that what to do.
