Revell Audi A4 Red Bull

Hi guys,

I finally finished a new model. It’s the Revell Audi A4 Red Bull from “Mattias Ektröm”. The original kit is the Timo Scheider version, but i didn’t like the livery. So i bought a replacement set from Reji Models. All colors where used are decanted Tamiya TS(TS29, 30, 49 and 51) paint. First i started painting the roof with TS30 straight from the can. After couple of days of drying i masked of the roof and shot the all the other parts in TS29. Again after a couple of days of drying i shot the parts with TS51 and removed the masking tape and let it rest for a couple of days. The decals where put on and after a week of drying i clear coated it with 2K clear from zero paints. I also experimented with some carbon effect painting. It worked very well in my opinion. I didn’t use any pattern, just mixed some black with silver, gold and grey. Most of the CF painting is inside the car, so i don’t have pictures of that. I’m pretty happy with the result, but i’m glad this build is done. Here are some pics and i hope you enjoy them:

and that blue color is the result of TS51 over TS29?? just want to confirm

Lovely job done Lesley, nice to see the extent of the decals, will cover some of the lousy paint on the Tom Kristensen version I am doing!

On mine, I have cut out the l/h door but the only foto of an open door I can find shows it completely removed.

Does anyone know how it was hinged? Or was removal the normal mode of opening?

I think that second set of pictures looks much better, because you can see much more of the car.
