Hobby Design to release 1/24 Aston Martin One-77

With all the recent problems HD had with their kits, I have mixed feelings about this, but its great to finally at least have a kit of this. I think I'm definitely getting this one.

Gotta agree with you, and FG Model makes these wheels already.

Looks tempting. Its smart of Hobby Design to make kits of subjects that major kit makers will avoid.Has anyone seen a WIP or compleated MP4/4C?

I dunno, a 1:27.3 scale model might look a little funny compared to your 1:24 collection....
Looks like a "full kit" so will be expensive

Why are you bashing the product without even seeing it? Too quick to judge?

That diecast looks crap... hobby design's one-77 looks very sharp, i never doubt their workmanship, but their casting quality sucks

Re: Hobby Design to release 1/24 Aston Martin One-77

To be fair, 'Mondo' do a really nice 1/18 die-cast model of this car in kit form that can be had for less that £20 at present.
It may not be as 'good' (VERY doubtful!) as the resin model here, but it's a million times better than the die-cast one mentioned above.
I bought the Mondo kit and C/F'd it, BMF'd it and re-painted the interior.
It's amazing!
At the money HLJ or whoever will want for this resin kit, don't bother!
Get the Mondo 1/18 kit and spend a bit of time on it.
An absolute gem at the money!
Roy.

Re: Hobby Design to release 1/24 Aston Martin One-77

This one looks pretty nice to me , but it will be overpriced. The 1/24th Speedy diecast does look cheap. I would guess we will see this car again in another 1/24th diecast. I hope Welly's does it.

Experience... Ive had multible problems with my Lambo LP640 Transkit & ive ended up with 3 of them, & only 1 was close to fitting properly. But that is a transkit i guess. & others do post their problems with HD products.
But hey I aplaud them for doing some great subjects, hopefully theyve turned a corner & this is a good one!

Thanks for the photos! I'm thinking of ordering one too. Prolly 1/26 or 1/27 scale, right?

Excuse me, I don't understand what is "Prolly". The scale of this model is 1/24.

an abbreviation or misspelling of the word ' Probably ' I would think.

Looks like a great kit. Hopefully Hobby Design are now on top of their resin issues.
