2011 Eqiunox Terrible MPG
Thanks to you all for helping me realize that I am not going out of my mind, but there really is an MPG difference between actual and posted. I have brought it to the dealer once and told nothing was wrong and then contacted GM Service Center yesterday. They gave me a case number and are sending me back to the Dealer (I hope this is not like the health insurance run-a-round) As you all probably know, there are now legal case files (Honda) where a person was successful in Small Claims Court ($10K or less) in getting satisfaction for the difference between advertised MPG and reality. I saw someone asked about a class action suit--anyone know anything about this? Finally, other than legal or "buy-back" options, am I pretty correct in assuming that there is really no better than the 23.4 MPG I am getting for my 4cyc (16K miles)?

Re: 2011 Eqiunox Terrible MPG
We have gone round and round on this.....what is city driving....what is highway driving.....what is cumulative driving....driving habits......terrain you drive in, etc.
One question......have you ever taken a long trip on a highway(say at least 25 miles without stopping), where you set the cruise for 65mph, and then go to driver information center, get the average miles per gallon on the screen, and then hit reset, so now you are getting a true indication of highway mileage? When you stop to get off the highway, what are your miles per gallon? |
