04 2.2 eco tec engine where is oil filter?
hi i want to change the oil filter on my 2004 but there is no filter on the back of engine the hayes book talks nothing about oil filters let alone other issues i having problems with
i notcied starter is a bitch to remove with the hoses in the way so does this engine not use a oil filter? or where is it or what it look like |

It's a canister type of filter. Located on the ft of the eng, toward the top, to the right of the intake. It has a plastic or metal cap with a 32mm (1 1/4") hex fitting on it. Remove the cap and the filter will come out with it. Be sure the little O-ring seal on the pointy end comes out also.

oh thats what that thing is as i have no idea and the hayes book doesnt include everything
like the issue i have with the 97 2.2 engine about valves |
