Bmw m1 "ja zum nÜrburgring"

Hi,

I build BMW M1 "JA ZUM NÜRBURGRING", how he drove last year at the Nürburgring 24h Classic.
I use the kit from Revell/Esci; Decals from Michael Ortman, PE-parts and extra decals from ScaleProduction and the RENAISSANCE transkit for Gr.4 LeMans 1980.
2Pics from the original car:

and here are the WIP pics:

Re: Bmw m1 "ja zum nÜrburgring"

interesting build ! felt in love for that car seen in 80's rallies even if it was the most unexpectable one there, what a fabulous 6-cylinders sound it has, screaming in Corsican or Alpen roads !!

Track races and rally races cars aren't exactly the same judging by this fenders transkit.
BTW did you noticed that the rear fender extension hasn't the exact right shape ? it has to be "rounded" at the front bottom.

Will follow this one closely, especially how you go on with the engine as I intended on my Gr. B car to completely upgrade and detail it but that was what made me delay my build waiting for stuff to do the wiring and plumbing, but once received, facing all the work to do, I gave up and put it back in the box for further inspiration...
