03 Focus - 2.0 SOHC P0302 & P0316
I have an 03 Focus with the 2.0 SOHC engine in it. We replaced the engine a couple months ago due to dropped valve seat.
The "new" engine has now developed a miss and is running rough. It has generated 2 codes; P0302, misfire cyl 2; and P0316, which is crankshaft position sensor. The guy at AZ said it is likely a bad CPS and replacing it should take care of the rough running and miss. Is this likely the case? The sensor is only $17, but I don't want to start throwing parts at it, either. Is replacing it really as simple as a single bolt? Thanks, Gary |

Replaced the CPS sensor but it's still missing. Any ideas where to start looking?
