Re: Porsche 935/76 K1
Hello,
watch out with that KYOSHO body, it's really nice, but it's scale 1:27.52!!!!! When I first saw it I bought it immediately, but when I looked closer at the body I saw the scale 1:27.52. The model is really smaller next to a 1:24 model. It should be to easy to find the greatest porsche ever in 1:24. I have the finsihed body version, it's quality is very nice, but unusable for me, so if someone is interested, let me know. Joka-1 |

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1
yes, read it.and is a shame cause cound be a perfect way to make this conversion little more easy than what is now.Dunno really the reason for 1/28 scale.at least 32 or american scales, but 28???? MAH.
The 935 is a porno-porsche.The nicest 911 ever imho. Look at this video with fellow driving at the Ring with Nigel Mansell helmet . Too cool:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj4-clpN8N4

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1
so, here trying to understand the very first versions of this car. before this model I didnt know so much, just remember it was reproduced allover in the past. unfortunately, more I go on with my model, more I recognize, we really miss the nicer...in our scale (24th)
from the previous evolution file posted http://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/model...935.htm#935-76 I think the evolution of the first 935 should be this one: 1st car, high lights, round ass and standard front bumper without any light ![]() ![]() then they made the second version, still high lights and front standard bumper w/o lights, BUT square ass: ![]() but then they made also the version with squared ass and lower/different single light nose section. This is the model done by tamiya in 24th scale. It is also the one with less pictures I've forund around. Dunno if this come before or after the previos car posted: ![]() then I found this other version, just different cause single front light AND square ass ![]() and then the le mans winner, done by tamiya in 12 and 20th.. ![]() ..that becomes an evolution into the following K's car serie.. ![]() ![]() to finish with the silohuette car used in late 70s. ![]() Probably this pic explains all. Being a racer all front nose section was just fiberglass and so quite easy to change with lookalike section from 934. ![]() The rear part indeed was more difficult to change, being mostly a big rework (think also here fiberglass) starting from lower rear pillar and taking all the back of this sexy porsche

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1
Unfortunately the worst part of this old model is the interior, that is definitely lacking of details. The biggest missing is the complete rollcage. they only made part of the rear tubes, so this will be the first part to fix.
Didnt become frak of all details in it, cause is curbside models and so just worked a little with drybrush painting to increase the (few) volume details. PE gear cranes coming from spare parts.the instruments are coming from spare decals too. Chipping in silver done with oil paint.

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1
in the meanwhile I shined the body.It is my idea nowadays it is much more better work on this progress only with mesh/compound instead of searching the perfect candy glossy finish with 2k gloss.I tried it several times, but getting the best results too often means cover many detail of the model, obtaing mostly the sucky candy effect.
Feel much more better working on the longer process of painting/sanding/compound done several times (at least 5 passages), cause all the work remains much more clean and not heavy. This is just my opinion, of course. then was time to fix the rypical 911 rear lights and then prepared the bonnet hooks from crazy modeller PE parts as well as the single wiper coming from Modeller's PE parts The clear side windows are another too old point of this model. They are definitely too thick and not trasparent enough.Consider in my model they wer also already used and dusted after a building done over 25 yrs ago.The windshield was polished with toothpaste. The side parts are coming from spare parts of a 993GT2 from tamiya, much more recent in moulding and plastic quality.I only add the 2 lines simulating the 2 parts of the driver and passenger opening windows. and finally the clear plastics over the front lights. They give the final BADBOY look to the terrific nose of this angry porsche..
