ABS light on but brakes are fine.

This is on my g/f's 04 silverado 2x2 started about a month ago. Light comes on after rolling a few feet and right after hearing the abs pump run for a second. Then the light pops on, but the brakes feel fine. Only thing I tried so far is to clean the ground wires under the drivers seat but it's still doing it. Anyone else have this problem? I know when my sensor(s) went bad on my 00 the abs pump would kick on when stopping! not fun at all, but like I said it stops fine, just the little pump humm then the light.

Any ideas?

As stated, really need to have the codes read to know where to start. Basic scanners will not read ABS codes.

so no brake application when first starting to move the amber abs light comes on. this would be no speed sensor out put.

brakes will work great because the speed sensor is open/no signal. this then KILLS the ABS which means it will not activate.

check for sensor wire damage at the hubs. measure for open.

then do the sensor signal voltage test if required.

Gonna check into this, Thanks

Don't have a scanner to check this, only things I have are a predator programmer and autotap.
