1999 Lumina power window trouble
I have 12 volt power at motor and it goes down, no trouble. If I by pass the swithes and put direct power to motor it works in both directions.?????

Re: 1999 Lumina power window trouble
If you are saying, the window goes down, but not up with the switch......if you attach a test light to the motor harness, and it lights when you press the switch down, but doesn't when you press the up switch, than, yes you need a switch....

Re: 1999 Lumina power window trouble
I have a similar problem on a 1995 Lumina. I have to use my hand to push the driver side window up and down while holding the switch down. I took the door panel out and cleaned all the contacts. Didn't make difference. Changed the switch too. Same thing. All other windows work.
-Is it the motor gone bad? How do I check that? Can the motor be changed. I can see three screws. I don't know if there is a fourth one which would be hard to get access to. -Is there relay/fuse in the fuse box that I can look at. Thanks for your info. |
