03 Century remotes

Hi,

Can I reprogram remotes from a 1998 Century to work on a 2003 Century? I tried according to instructions on this forum but did not work. The remote on the left is from the 1998 and the remote on the right is the 2003. Any help would be appreciated.

Terry

Seriously doubt it...you can have a 2003 remote that looks exactly like the one you have, but if the number on the back is not the same, it won't program....believe you need a Tech II scanner to program...

Re: 03 Century remotes

yes, but how to reprogram the old remote for the newer car is the question. I tried reprograming it according to instructions on this forum but without success. I guess if it is possible to reprogram the old remotes then the questions is how to reprogram them.
