Angry Re: car crash

here is the correct information:

a lady who was drunk was street racing in her ford expedition that was in 4WD at the time (it helps you take off faster) she was street racing another car. She was going in between 60 to 100 MPH when she struck a red honda civic stopped at a stop light. she not only hit them but due to being in 4WD at the time drove over the top of the car and crushed two boys. The second driver drove through the accident scene not hitting the car but blood, paint chips and brain matter yes brain matter where found in bedded in the paint of his car and under the car. The lady in the expedition was going so fast her car kept going even with brain matter car parts and damage. She finally stopped about a black and a half up due to a flat tire. Her 4 children where at home alone without a baby sitter. He husband in the seat next to her had coke in his system as while as being drunk. The lady left the hospital and ran from the cops for a few days. She got manslaughter because Oregon doesnt have vehicular manslaughter and its not considered murder because it is not intentional. From prison this lady sends letters the the city paper asking them to remove the pictures of the boys she killed from the cite because her parents and children drive by and it think of her in jail.
SO to answer all questions:
YES the honda was not racing it was stopped at a red light! The honda and the 4 people in the Honda had NOTHING to do with the racing they were victims of drunk stupid peoples choices!!!!
The street racers were a lady named Jodie Jones and a guy named Brandon Schmunk
Both of the drivers are in jail. Brandon got 10 years and Jodie got 15 I believe.

I know this to be true because I am related to one of the people in the Honda.

Re: car crash

No that is not the correct story either. Todd Boone is my son, and I had to hear the horrific details of what truly occurred. I just stumbled across this page when typing in the name of the driver of the Expedition, as I for some reason find myself doing from time to time.

I was impressed to see the posts regarding 'street racing' and the comments that were made recognizing how IGNORANT it is to drive your rods at a high rate of speed on the roads designed to share with everyone. It's not about you it's about those innocently sitting at a red light on the way home. I also own a fast car - not a Camaro although I recently sold one that my husband had built. We now own a built 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo (of course) 5 speed with many mods. Painted into the back bumper is the statement 'Driven in the Spirit of Todd Gary Boone'. You see that is my sons one dream. To own a 'Z' and he never got to so we got one for him. It is sweet with custom paint and lots of goodies. I often have people roll up on me when I 'm driving it and want to race. The look at me (as if they can see thru the blacked out windows) like I'm crazy. There have been times where I have directed them to pull over to share the story......

There were four young adults sitting at a red light at @ 1:30am on their way home. Out of nowhere came two SUV's - one Expedition and one Tahoe - racing at @90mph. (The cameras in a store right before the impact caught them). They came around a slight curve and made impact with the passenger side of the Honda where my son sat in the front and his friend Josh sat in the back. The Expedition was not in 4WD prior to impact, but in fact was put in 4WD to try to escape the scene. The Tahoe did not have impact with anything, but there were minuscule paint chips found on it that matched the paint of the Honda. There was no blood or brains that splattered. My sons brains were carried with the Expedition several blocks down the street where she stopped when she finally realized that she was not going to be able to flee. The drivers side half of the Expedition's bumper was cut off to maintain for evidence that it had in fact hit my son in the head. The Honda exploded!!! The expedition did not drive over it, but caused it to spin around in the intersection stopping at a point where my son fell out because there was no passenger side left of the car - no seat belt holding him in any longer. He then lay in the rainy, wet, street while the other vehicles either tried or did leave the scene. There was a trial that August where the Expedition's driver Jodie Jones was sentenced to 16 1/2 years in prison, and the Tahoe's driver was sentenced to 10 1/2. Although Jodie Jones has tried every manner possible to get out early or completely have the sentence overturned, none of her attempts have been successful. Thank God! Both sentenced will have to serve the entire term - no early release - no good behavior time off. But still, they will get out one day. I myself on the other hand, along with Todd's twin sister and the many other friends and family are serving a life sentence of unbearable pain! We did nothing wrong (nor did the boys) but we suffer more than you can ever imagine. It is the knock at the door that you see in the movies and it does take your legs right out from under you.

So...... PLEASE!!!!!! Don't race your rods on the street, whether you have been drinking or not. It's not about you, how sweet your ride is, or how fast you can go. If there was private space for you to do so it would be absolutely fine, but I'm talking about our roadways that we share. Remember it's not about you (I like to go fast too as would Todd have if he's ever had the chance to drive his 'Z') but please take it off the public roads. Someone just like my boy could be sitting there, just a few blocks from home..............

Go ahead and google 'Todd Boone Albany,OR' or 'Jodie Jones Albany, OR' or go to Todd's myspace page that his friends made after he was gone and read..... and think..... before you hit the gas.

God bless those of you who already know the horrors or those who are mature enough to see without having suffered such tragedy that street racing is dangerous, and tell other the same.
