Dear God, that is beautiful! Hey, the bottom of his front bumper is misaligned, and the stone protection on his back bumper is chipped. Yeah, this is almost hi-res enough!

I think it is a very thin skid plate - wrapping around the corners where you might scrape the underside on a driveway entrance.

There was also one which ran the full length of the underside of 10R's front splitter that came off and was dragging thanks to an unfriendly speed bump that found its way into the Italy F1 Tour route. That's what the McLaren boys are seen here fussing with.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

By the way - #014 showed up at Limerock yesterday - perhaps for an ALMS race. The only detail so far is that tickets for the event were $80 bucks.

I do think this is a bit funny that there are a handful of people in this picture and all of them are clearly mesmerized by something else and have their backs to the F1. Not too many shots like that. Makes you wonder just what that could have been with an F1 sitting there.

I've added a video of it parking at Lime Rock to the video clips thread

Understandable, then. I actually think it's neat; it looks like this car is really driven a lot. Any idea of the current mileage on it? I'm guessing in the 20-30K range, which brings up another interesting thing: how amazing it is that the paint on this car (and F1s in general) has held up so well over the years.

Are you talking about #036 or #10R?

If #036, it had 1,900 miles on it when it came to the USA in 2006 and when I saw it last August it was right around 10,000 miles.

No clue on the mileage of 10R, but it did get a respray in 2009 after an unfortunate incident in the hands of a journalist.

Yeah it was the ALMS race, I've been in previous years but the price put me off going this year - I wish I had now!

Here's another shot from one of my FlickR contacts Shawn Pierce:

I'm going to Lime Rock in a couple of weeks for a Ferrari event which I know the owners of #14 have attended in previous years so hopefully they'll bring it out again.

Not high res, but still quite lovely shots of #036 from Mike Cutler.

#036 has to be one of my favorites. I love the color - thanks for the shots, including #062 Erik.

In several cases I thought stuff like this was lost to history and likely never to be seen, but here are a pair of images of Lawrence Stroll's F1 road car taken in 1997 at Mont Tremblant and still seen wearing its original blue paint.

According to my Canadian friend, that is a Quebec plate on the car which is very interesting considering what we know about the their vehicle importation laws being very strict. I still can't give up the chassis number of this one but I have a feeling with this detail most who care can now figure it out for themselves.

Thankfully there were some details included with the photos that made it clear whose car this was, otherwise I might have been fairly confused. The craziest part of all is that these images have been online since 2003 - how could they have been missed for so long? Google's algorithms must be getting better I guess. Does make you wonder what else is out there still to be uncovered. There are a few other cars it would be nice to have original content on - #023 for sure, #046 as well, and more of #073 would be nice too. Finding something like this gives me hope that eventually we'll get lucky with them.

It is a shot in the dark, but I'm going to see if the source on these can send me larger versions or any other shots he may have snapped - that's if I can figure out how to reach him. For now enjoy those postcard-sized shots.

I have not good eyes. Someone can read the plate ?
I think about put #052 on the registry. It's the only possibility for me.
