2011 vs 1999 Makibu

I just purchased a 2011 Malibu LT 2.4L, to replace the LS 3.1L I purchased back in 1999. I find that the '99 had
- easier entry for the driver
- less rearview mirror (mounted on the windshield) interference
- for me, more headroom and even knee room
- about the same fuel efficiency
I just hope I don't have the major headaches coming to me, like intake manifold gasket and front brakes. The '11 does have advantages (quiet, good looking interior), after 2 weeks, I do miss the '99.

Re: 2011 vs 1999 Makibu

You'll find, over time, that the '11 is a HUGE step up in quality. That should change your mind. '97-'03 was total junk and I'm shocked that folks are still bothering fussing with them.

I'm disappointed in the '13 Malibu, both on exterior looks and in interior space. So my current Chevy is likely my last....unless they plop $4K on the hood near intro (not talking about the Eco trim), like they did on mine.
