'02 Camry High speed control loss

I have a 2002 Camry XLE and have experienced loss of control when braking hard at x-way speeds. The first time I was driving and was able to get things under control. The last time my wife was driving at rush hour when she had to brake hard to avoid stopped vehicles ahead. The car went out of control and spun 180 degrees across three lanes of traffic. Fortunately she or no one else was injured and there was no collision. My question is, has anyone else had this happen w/ the '02 Camry. I haven't been back to the dealer yet, but I'm sure they're going to say it was driving error not mechanical.

I have an '00 Camry and find that the Breaks are really pardon my french but Shitty. They do not work too well at any speed. You might have to change the pads or something. Get better ones, remember the stock breaks are made mass production to keep the cost down, so your gonna have to fork over some cash to get good ones. i think i might have to also.

2002 XLE V6 Brakes

I have a 2002 XLE V6. I also had a 2000 XLE V6 for two years.
The only thing I can tell you is that the brakes in the 2002 are just GREAT. They are by far better than the 2000. Much more powerfull.
The front disks are huge compared to the 2000. (I was able to use 15" winter rims in the 2000, but I had to buy 16" rims for the 2002 because of the new brakes).
I do not have to press hard to stop in normal driving. And in emergency it just freezes. No lost of control or anything like that. In fact, the brakes are so good, that I am always afraid of the car behind because I know his brakes are less effective.
So the only thing to do, is to go to the dealer and have it checked. You may have one brake piston which is not working. good luck.

RETURN TO DEALER!!!!

DON"T try to fix this one yourself. No shop can do this one, only a good dealer will be able to fix it. The abs is malfunctioning and could get you killed at anyTIME!
