where to mount a cb radio
While i have a couple spots i like to put 2-way radios, i keep seeing them installed above the rear-view mirror. What are they mounting to? I haven't found anything solid yet outside of screwing through the roof. That would be a good spot for some radios, especially when you must see the controls when tuning (like my Cobra). I don't want my radio to fall and drag the roof down, but the ones i see seem pretty solid. What does everyone mount to?

Re: where to mount a cb radio
i have a 95 and i have my cb mounted above the rear view mirror. on my truck there is a small section of sheet metal that is about an inch lower than the roof just peel back the head liner to make sure yours has it. for mine i had to fabricate a mount to make it work but it has been up there for 4 years and never had a problem its nice and solid and the screws dont go through the roof

Re: where to mount a cb radio
Mine won't go there, and those things suck. I do intend to investigate the metal bracket above the roof felt.
