Anyone ever buy from an auction?
I was just wondering. Trying to find a supra at an auction.
When you went were there a lot of people bidding on the car? I rather pay less than 10k for a supra .Anything I should know? |

Re: Anyone ever buy from an auction?
I've been to many auction; public, dealer, gov't. Some auctions there are hundreds of people & hundreds of cars & others only a few people show up for a few cars to be sold - those are usually the best. I got my 96 vette with very low miles for about 25% of the retail value. Just be very careful & inspect the hell out if it, many flood, totalled, junk cars are sold @ autctions.

Re: Anyone ever buy from an auction?
Auctions generally held to sell out property in possession of government in order to make some money out of it. This thought can help you in buying of car or any other assert less than market value. These auctions are organized all over the world which openly invites participation.

Re: Anyone ever buy from an auction?
Also be aware that some auctions have scam cars in them. Its always best to go to the auction pre-bidding and inspect the car thoroughly. As Bullshifter said.... there are flood cars and other types of damages that are harder to see. Some undercarriage can be really severe as well.
