Also, inspect your spark plug wires; on a vehicle this old they may need to be replaced.
300km sumting...already change the rotor and plug wires...not the cap....
can u gimme sum guide to rearrange my wire order on distributor?

you probably blew a fuse or fusible link somewhere when you tried to jump start the vehicle or when connecting the battery cables wrong
connecting the battry cables wrong, can it cause damaged to any other part beside the fuses?like coil or ECU?

Re: Cannot start my 94 xj...

I believe the firing order is: 1 3 4 2, and goes clockwise around the distributor. If you have the plug wires in the wrong place it would make the explosion sound you have been hearing.

the 12 code says the battery has recently been disconnected.

The 33 code I think says that there is a problem with the air conditioning.

Have you changed the spark plugs? I forget.

Where is the explosion sound coming from?

Re: Cannot start my 94 xj...

I think the IAC can cause starting problems, but I am not sure.

Definitely if you think it is broken it should be replaced.
