How to retrieve "Code" for Radio\CD Player
To Anyone who read my earlier post, I figured out that the reason the car wouldn't start was the battery. It's only a year old so I thought it was something else. Turned out to be a defective battery. After I replaced it I tried to turn on the radio and I got a "Code" message on the screen. According to the owners manual, that code was given to the original owner. Since I bought the car used I have no idea what the code is. Anyone know what to do here? I'd like to avoid having to take it to the dealer (far away). Any info would be most apreciated.

Pull sterio out and call parts department to the acura dealership and read the number to the back of the stereo to the parts people. Then they will give you a code to the stereo.

Re: How to retrieve "Code" for Radio\CD Player
Radio code supplied seperately from owners manual.
it is a card with four numbers. If you can't find it then you can collect the code from the honda dealer & they can access your Radio code by Vehicle Identification Number.

Re: How to retrieve "Code" for Radio\CD Player
if you're too lazy to get on the phone to speak to a person:
https://radio-navicode.acura.com/ Quote:
you can change the "acura" to "honda" for the link i provided; also update their database by registering your honda/acura online https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=honda also, there are a few Honda Tech members that can give the code to you directly when you supply the numbers; they'll just punch the #s for you to look it up or some actually works at the dealership! http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php...o+code&page=18 pain in the butt, but that's what i had to do with the wifey's acura mdx when the battery died early as well... |
