A/C Clutch Cycling On/Off With Defrost Settings
Hello Everyone,
I've recently noticed the A/C Clutch on My 2000 Windstar cycling On/Off when I'm driving around with the Defrost setting in operation, this also causes my Low-Speed Fan to turn on as well. This happens at any Temp setting with A/C button off but not on any Vent setting except Windshield Defrost and Windshield Defrost/Floor Vents. Is this normal? Thank You

Re: A/C Clutch Cycling On/Off With Defrost Settings
YES, it is normal for the A/C to operate when you have any setting that includes Defrost.
The idea is that it de-fogs (or prevents fog) on the inside of the windshield. When the A/C is engaged.....the Radiator low speed fan will also be engaged....so this is also normal.
