Evap line

I plead ignorance here...I should know, but don't. On my '97 3.1, there is a plastic line that comes over the top of the master cylinder and has a service port with a green cap and a tag that says something like "Evap check 1 psi max...blah blah..."

This line goes to SOMETHING on the firewall side of the motor...but after doing the lower intake I found it is disconnected, and looks like it is missing perhaps a rubber end that allows it to plug onto a valve.

Working by feel, I can't find where it belongs. I need to get a mirror back there or roll the motor forward and look, but if someone knows where it goes that would help. And if indeed it is missing a rubber end (maybe it's still stuck on wherever it goes?)

I hate when I miss a minor thing on a major job. I should know what's back there, but was so focused on the intake job I didn't pay any attention to what else was there....

Re: Evap line

That line goes to the purge solenoid valve......should have an emissions label showing it.....
