the std now officially has a system...

the nice cd deck that Jeff (90civicrider) sold to me for 35 bux



2 10" mtx blue thunder legend extreme subwoofers powered by a jbl 500 watt amp


2 guage power wire running front to back, split by a distrbution block into 8 guage then to amp



and the unsightly wire-mess haha

looks good. I like a lil bit smaller of a sub box though....i use some of my trunk once in a while.

hmmmmm by the way those 2 10's fit im thinking 2 12's will be really tight in mine....

12's should fit no problem, the box should still sit below the hatch cover if you got one. Personally I would have built a box differantly... having the subs facing up, then put like a 1/2" lip on both sides of the box - that way if you need to use the trunk you still got a little place and you just set a piece of wood on the lip and there you go. Me, I dont use trunks though :finger:

the only thing in my trunk is an ice scraper and a can of belt dressing *for squeeky belts* but i dont even need that anymore i tightened my alt belt today

I got the system in my trunk also.

I tried to put one of my stock steelies in where the spare goes so I could have a fullsize, but that didnt work, so I still got the doughnut.

And yes, 2 12's will fit in a hatch, dfarres system is quite nice

Yea 2 12's will fit, I still have a little bit of room on both sides of the box and could flip it any direction I wanted. But now this is all in my hatch....

is that 400 watts PER channel? or 400 wats total to 4 chanels (100x4)?

hahaha....its jensen, i don't think they can make an amp that has 400 watts per channel....though that would be nice.
