Nascar 2011 Dodge from AMT Chevy kit

Finally got this one done. The decals took longer to make than the model did. 2010 AMT Earnhardt Jr. 1/25 scale snapkit. Tamiya ts-50 paint. Evergreen styrene strips, rods, and sheets to make the front splitter, rear spoiler and shark fins. Squadron white putty to fill in the gaps. All decals created by me except for the Sunoco, Goodyear, Nascar race car decal on the a-pillar, and the aero decals on the wheels. These came with the kit. I also had to modify the quarter glasses to look like Dodge quarter glasses.
If you want to see how the model went together check out this link.

I wanted this model to resemble the Pocono car because that's where Brad beat Kyle Busch to the finish line.

This is awesome, looks just like Keslowski's car! Love the decals and the front end modification. Just wish I could get my hands on one of these kits!

Don't know what happened to my post. It disappeared

It looks like the time spent on the decals was worth it.

Thanks Drift. I know, these kits are suddenly very hard to find. I was able to pick two of them up a while back at Hobby Lobby for around 9 dollars with a 40% off coupon . They started off over twenty.

Thanks Gregg. It got posted twice because the first time I posted it with a link and I thought they would not post it with a link to another site. So I posted it again. Your original post is in that post. It was definitely my most challenging sheets to make. I had to double them up because the testors decals are so thin there was some bleed through on the white decals like the roof and door numbers. They appeared light blue instead of white. doubling them fixed it.

Also I live in Australia and the shops here can't get them because of the licensing

I have had to settle for some of the older ones that I got shipped in from the us (2003 and 2006)

Have you tried to order one from Southern Motorsports Hobbies? The postage might be high but I think the owner would be willing to send you one if you paid it. He is a great guy to do business with.
