Unhappy dead beat extended warranty.

I purchased an extended warranty for my 2007 Pontiac from dealer at time of new car purchase.
jumping to Feb 2012. The fuel pump which sits in the gas tank has nylon hose leaking at the fitting where it connects ito the fuel pump. The fuel pump and the hose are one piece, one part number and must be replaced as one unit- fuel pump. I was happy to have purchased some piece of mind with this extended warranty and to put it to good use. Boy was i mistaken- it has been a day time nightmare getting this dead beat warranty company (FESC), which BTW the dealer sold me on, to cover the repair. I called FESC with the problem and they told me to take it to a service facility. Pep Boys made an inititial diagnosis based on experience and said it will need a fuel pump and informed FESC of the repair. Pep Boys proceeded to drop the fuel tank and confirmed the diagnoses but when they called FESC to get work authorization - FESC said they wont cover it and that I should take it to a GM dealer because it is covered under GM Warranty. WHY DIDNT THEY TELL US THAT BEFORE THE WORK STARTED ?! So i had the car towed to GM dealer at my expense and payg PeP Boys $170 for dropping the tank and diagnosis.. The GM dealer looked at it and said no way- FESC should cover it. now i am stuck between two dead beats wiggling their way out of paying for what they promised. I did purchase this extended warranty for piece of mind protection and low and behold what i really got is a headache, frustrations, anger, and had to take time off from work to deal with this mess and among other things wasted time writing and pleading to GM and FESC to fix my car. What do i do now. I probably will end up footing the bill because i don’t have the means or smarts to fight these two dead beat giants. Seems like you have to fight for your rights more that ever these days. sorry for the bad grammar- i am in a bad mood and w/o energy to perfect this writing.

Re: dead beat extended warranty.

The real culprit here is the dealer they sold you a 3th party warranty making somewhere between 70% to 100% profit knowing quite well it's a useless warranty " name of dealer and location ? "

FESC are scumbags,,, go GOOGLE and type - fesc warranty scams -

The old saying burned once but never twice apply here as I am sure you will do some homework buying your next car,,, had you had the opportunity to read this link on my site http://www.usedcartips.org/warranty.html you would never have wasted your money

In all fairness FESC do have some very satisfied customers - the one's that never had to make a claim

If you think Dealers and salespeople are the # 1 scum in the industry - think again

Maybe soon gas stations will start showing PORN movies on the
screens of the pumps
so that you can watch someone else get screwed
simultaneously
