Trunk/Hatchback Will Not Stay Open

I have a 94 Probe 2 dr. with the hatchback. The hatchback will not stay open and it has 2 hydraulic lifts that don't seem to be working. Do I need to replace both of these or is it a hydraulic problem, the latch on the driver side does not work either.
