Re: 97' to 07' Ford F150 "Conversion"!
May I call you the scratchbuild king now? That's a heck lot of parts to scratch build! I was definitely in awe!
I am assuming you are going to scratchbuild new headlight/tail light lenses. What is your approach on those parts? |

Re: 97' to 07' Ford F150 "Conversion"!
Thank's Willimo,Jaxson,Kaho and xam for your comments.
Kaho I'm going to reshape the original kit parts. As the due date has bean moved up, I have little time to go all out on building parts. So I will have to cut some scratchbuilt parts short. The Tail lights must be hand painted on, that will save me some time. I had to go back and add some length to the body, as the '07's body from top to bottom is longer than that of the '97. ![]() ![]() As you can see, I have scratch built both side door hands. ![]() ![]() Like the head lights' I'm using jewels for the Fog lights. ![]() The photo etch grill backing comes form KA Models. ![]() At this time I have the first layer of paint on the body. ![]() It was dry the next day wich is to day so I masked and painted the lower half of the turck. I also hand painted the fender lips as well. ![]()

Ok with out tail lights and detail!
![]() Now with added detail! ![]() ![]() ![]() The head lights. ![]() ![]() These windows were tinted with tamiya clear smoke. The two smaller side windows are made from .015 clear styrene. ![]() Wiper blades are by KA Models. I got them for some of my skyline projects. ![]() ![]() The Truck is finished and in the hands of it's new owner., but I have lot's of pphotos to show you next.
