Tamiya Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) V-Spec.

Had a few small errors at the end, but no biggie. I'm happy with it, and it came out better than that Miata! :P

Thanks for looking

Re: Tamiya Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) V-Spec.

Hey! You´re the guy upset with his light blue Miata, right?! Hehe, definitely a step up from that one. Very good job. I love this car and it gave me a lot of headaches when I built it.

If I may add a few tips to consider:
- paint job is already very good. Now it would be good that you search around for tips on black-washing techniques for darkening panel lines. Just forget about using sharpies or gundam markers, and remember to use a type of paint that would not attack your body paint or clear (i.e.: is better to use water-based acrylics over enamel or stronger paints).
- ride height: is difficult see by your pics if it´s too high or not, but lower always look better. Next time check if you can sand down a couple of milimeters off certain parts to lower the ride height. It will look way better. Anyway, this one looks ok.
- exhaust holes: try painting the inside of the exhaust tips black. You can actually do that to this R33 as there´s no risk. It really helps the look of the model.

Finally, try to take outside-daylight pics. Every model deserve good pics. I´m pretty sure this one looks better than in those pics.

Keep improving!

Thanks for the advice and kind words!

It's kind of a struggle for me to take daylight photos. With the season it is at the minute, by the time I get home from school, it's already dark outside. Maybe at the weekend I will be able to... I'll definitely look towards updating the model and updating this post with pics!

Thanks for looking!
