Paasche R75 ?'s

i have a paasche r75 airbrush.thats brand new..
the instructions say its supposed to turn off at a certain pressure which i had set at 25-20 psi...but it stayed on and pressure gauge kept climbing until i eventually shut it off and the bleedder air thingy started to bleed off air until the pressure gauge dropped to zero...any help or advice

do you know if you are talking about the airbrush (the thing you hold in your hand to spray paint) or the compressor? usually on the compressor there is a pressure regulator valve so it knows what pressure to shut off at so it doesn't explode and then you should have an inline (filter-trap-pressure valve) that allows you to set the pressure in the hose going to the "airbrush" so that the air in the hose and airbrush is not the maximum air pressure of the compressor/tank. Does the compressor have a small tank to store air?? I would say you have something not set correctly when it comes to the pressure regulator valve - it's just a guess as you will need to explain your situation better for more precise help. - John

The Paasche R75 is a regulator and water trap. If it is hooked up to the output of a compressor. when it is running you adjust the presure as desired. You must have something hooked up wrong. Pic below is the R75.

935K3 - I PM'd guiwee and I think I've got him set straight with the compressor/airbrush - at least he hasn't emailed back so I think he has it going - John
