The ABS on this car, a 98 Chrysler Cirrus 2.5L SOHC engine is acting up.
When on slippery roads at low speed it's working fine but at higher spped than 50 mph the ABS is engaging even when it shouldn't and the car almost looses all braking (pedal goes to the floor but the car doesn't slow down). The ABS light was not on, currently we removed the fuses from the ABS to prevent it from engaging until the problem is fixed and the ABS light came on. Any idea for a fix/what we should look into now? |

Re: 98 Chrysler Cirrus ABS Problems
Meridivs have you checked out the rest of the braking system yet? Could be a problem elsewhere in the system.

Re: 98 Chrysler Cirrus ABS Problems
Yes, braking system was checked and completely serviced few weeks ago (new pads, hoses, adjusting gear).
Same (strange) problem with the ABS system - works fine at low speeds and poor/not at all at higher speed. |

Re: 98 Chrysler Cirrus ABS Problems
Meridivs, Did they check master cyl and power booster? The pedal going almost to the floor has me thinking.
