Power Steering

I took my 2000 Camry V6 LE into the shop yesterday to have the alternator replaced. Not only did they charge me $450 for the parts and labor, but when I got the car back the power steering wasn't working!
It was working perfectly before that. What I want to know, is when I take it back to them today for them to look at, should they be responsible for fixing what I think they broke? Or do I have to shell out another large sum of money I don't have?

I'd say they removed or loosened the PS belt and forgot to put it back on or tighten it. If you can prove they broke it then they should fix it at no charge. However, you can not depend on too many shops being honest enough to fess up on things like this. Good luck.

Re: Power Steering

Fortunately for you, it is probably a simple and easy fix so that they will be able to help you without them spending much time or money.
