1995 Buick LeSabre - Heat

I am curious as to how hot the vent temperature should be after driving the car for about a half hour on the road. The other day, I measured it at about 112 degrees. I can't recall for sure but I thought that in previous years it ran hotter.

Thank you in advance!

Is the engine getting up to temp? Should be getting to 190d.

Just had an issue with my car that while driving the motor would not go past 140d. I replaced the thermostat with an OEM 195d and it runs like it should (bounces between 190-200d). Really helped out with the lack of heat I was getting.

Sorry, but I have to disagree.....yes, the coolant in the engine should cycle between 190-200F with a good thermostat....however, with a temp probe in the register on vent, heat coming out with be 145-155F on max heat....

If the engine is only warming up to 140d then the temp of the hot vent air will be less, likely closer to the 110d the OP is getting.

Can't make hot vent air without a properly warmed up coolant system.
