2003 Town and country Horn Not working

I have a problem with the horn on my 2003 town and country. The horn will not work from the remote door locks or the steering wheel. I bypassed the relay and it is ok from there. Is there any way to get a diagram for this circuit?

Sign up for free at autozone.com for the repair manuals. Hopefully they will have the diagram.

Have you checked if your local Library has EBSCO? If so look for the AUTO REPAIR REFERENCE CENTER (ARRC).

PS: I sent you a email to address given, let me know if it worked.

I think the horn switch is when you press the horn button on steering wheel. Does your cruise control work? Possibly the clockspring, if so check to see if there is lifetime warranty on it.

The clockspring seems to be ok. The cruise works fine. I am wondering if the horn switch is for the remote locks and panic button. I have to locate this and the front control module to test them.

The Front Control Module (FCM) is that silver box secured to the front of the fuse box (IPM) by 4 bolts. Disconnect the negative battery cable before removing it. From your symptoms it sounds like the horn pad switch and clockspring are good but the FCM is not setting the ground to the relay coil. I would say either the contact for the ground output at the FCM is corroded or the FCM is bad. The FCM/IPM connection is a known problem area for corrosion or poor connection.

If the clockspring or horn pad switch was bad you would still get the horn to sound when you locked the doors with the key fob.

Thank you. I am going to try to dig into it today. The horn will not operate from the fob or wheel. I bypassed the relay and it is ok there. I guess I will check those connections at the FCM.

Makes sense. Thanks for posting the fix. Glad to hear you're starting off the year with a working horn.

Yes, it was in the plug wiring between the FCM plug and Horn relay.
