96 tempature control hard to turn

bought a 96 sunfire dirt cheap... looks like the usual issues with the blower motor resistor and needing a new thermostat or flush. however i cannot find any posts about this.

when i try to turn the temp control knob to hot it gets stiff and very hard to turn... you actually cant turn it all the way to hot. anyone have an idea why and what to fix?

thanks!!

Re: 96 tempature control hard to turn

I'd say the cable is bound up or pinched somewhere. Disconnect both ends of the cable and check the movement, and check the knob after cable is disconnected.
